Consistent with the Fourth Industrial Revolution,several of the technologies cited use data andcomputing to enhance public health. The listexplores how Al is enabling improvements inhealthcare delivery, especially to those who livein less well-resourced areas; how flexible batteriesare powering wearable technologies and bendabledisplays that enable wearable medical devices andbiomedical sensors; and next-generation neuralelectronics that can interact with millions of cells atonce more safely. With mental health issues morepressing in the post-pandemic world, virtual sharedspaces in the metaverse are facilitating globaloutreach to serve those in need.
